Happy snowy day here in Wisconsin!

Everything looks beautiful here, (because I don’t have to drive in it)  Many schools around us are closed, however, I guess Muskego schools are open.  It’s a bit chilly out, only 17 degrees!  I’m in my happy place, my workshop with the little heater on and surrounded with stamps, paper and ink.  Guess what I will be doing today?  You guessed it, stamping my heart out!

I wanted to say thank you to all who attended our second Retreat here on February 3rd!!  We had 11 guests who enjoyed the day from 9:00am until 10:00pm.  My sister, Jewell was our personal chef with the help of her sous chef, Amy P.!  Lisa W. and Julie M., were my assistants helping our stampers.  It was a busy and totally fun day.  (I always hope my stampers have as much fun as I do!!).

I worked one on one with a project using the Waterfront stamp set from the Occasions catalog on page 48.  They had the option of doing a mountain scene or a beach scene.  I had two samples to show them.  I am so proud to show you the beautiful works of art they came up with:

Aren’t they GREAT!!!!  They stamped the images on watercolor paper and then used my favorite tool, the aqua painter, to fill in and touch up.

They each received a packet featuring the Petal Passion suite.  They also received a zipper card which when opened revealed another gift.  The grand prize winner this time was Christie W. who won a full set of Blends!

She did the “winners” dance and skipped around the table!!

Jewell served beef stew with home made dilly bread, which was our Mother’s receipe, and Swedish Cream with fresh fruit for dessert at lunch.  For dinner she made three different flavors of chicken tenders with different sauces, a fruit salad, rice pilaf and pineapple upside down cake for dessert.  Cindy and Chris said they were still full on Monday when they came to Hostess club!!

Thank you all for attending and thanks to my assistants!  Without everyone’s participation the event could not go on!!

Tomorrow I will show you the other 3-d project they made along with the three cards.

Happy Stamping!!
