Many of you know that I have a crazy cat, named “Cat” who lives down here in my happy place. She is very beautiful and totally unfriendly, unless the contact is on her terms. (It’s often said: she could have sooo many friends if she were just nice”.)
We have Halloween designer paper that has cats on it along with a matching cat punch. I have been talking about using up the black cats left over from a Halloween card for some time now. One of my stampers asked me to make a “cat card” for Sassy Saturday. I love a challenge! This is what I came up with:
Here is my sassy cat wound up with a red ball of yarn, (or ribbon). “Wraped in the warmth of Christmas”. We added the green “carpet” after the card was all together to anchor her. I used cherry cobbler and tranquil tide paper and ink. The background designer paper is from the Year of Cheer selection. The stripe designer paper is from the Be Merry collection. To tell you the truth, I used scraps that were left on my desk from the last couple of cards. But, I think it works, (I hope it works!).
So, Joan B., I hope you like your “cat” card. I must go now to wrap the balls of ribbon for the cards for everyone attending the class. It’s a bit tedious so I thought I would get that part done ahead of time.
What’s your preference: Cat or Dog? We have two dogs who rule the upstairs and one mean cat that rules the lower level, so, I love them all!
