My challenge put to me by one of my Hostess Club members was to create a little boys Christmas card. I don’t know why, but, the first stamp set that came to my mind was No Bones about It, which is on page 109 of the Annual catalog.
Not to keep you waiting, here is what I came up with:
Our little dinosaur dressed up a bit with a few black rhinestones. The Santa hat was a bit big so I had it popped up on a dimensional so it would come to the front of the scene. I used designer paper from three different collections. The stripe is from the Annual catalog, Be Merry, the trees are from the Holiday catalog, Merry Little Christmas and the bow and wreath are from the Holiday catalog, Christmas Around the World. The bonus with the wreath and bow is that there are thinlits to cut our these items!
To me the trees looked a little rustic and since the dinosaur was going to be in black I wanted to bring in a background with a small black print.
So, do you think I hit the mark or not? Would you give this to a little person in your life?
I so love that stripe from the Be Merry designer paper! I used it in another card we will be making with my Hostess Club.:
My Hostess Club member also requested a “girl” Christmas card. This card is what I designed to fit that bill. To my delight it also let me use our Blends markers. (I just can’t get enough time in with those!!)
Tomorrow I will show you the last card designed for my December Hostess Club members!
