I have some additional samples of cards for the techniques class this month. Looking at yesterday’s post, I did note that I am using a lot of alcohol with these cards! I’m using it to blend the colors over the glossy cardstock.
Then later in the evening, I may have a little sip of my Limoncello from last years visit to Sorrento! I have about 1/4 of the bottle left, but, everytime I take a sip and close my eyes, it takes me back to that unbelievable vacation! (Thank you Stampin’ Up! for offering up such opportunities to reach goals I never even dreamed of!) None of it could be attained without my stamping family supporting me and my business. Life is good!!
I’m done bending your ear, here’s what you have been waiting for:
The plus to this cool technique is that you get two background layers from one step. You spritz your glossy cardstock with rubbing alcohol, then place drops of reinker, in this case I used dapper demin, and then move the color around with more spritzing. After you have it like you want it you place another piece of glossy cardstock on top of the first one, rub it around a bit and pull off. Let both air dry. (You may have to hold up and let some of the extra alcohol drip off.) Here is the second background from this sample:
Zippity do da! Another beautiful work of art. This one looked like the water I saw in Thailand, so, I had to add shells and pearls!
Don’t forget to get signed up for class to make your own beautiful designs!
I have my cards all designed for this months Kismet class! More ahead of the game than usual I know! I will start sharing whose with you tomorrow!
