I’m not a list maker or one to write new years resolutions, but, I want to go into the new year looking at things in the best light I can. I will be working to keep the outlook: the glass is half full. It’s so easy to look at things the other way, (half empty), however that doesn’t make anyone feel good or at peace. Let’s make this a year of working together and holding each other up in times of trouble and discourse.
So, hoping to make you smile, here are some more cards with the Dragonfly Dream stamp set:
When thinking about dragonflies I have blue/green colors in my head. Guess I will have to do some brighter ones. This card uses designer paper from the Blooms & Bliss series. You can see it on page 173 of the Annual catalog. I really love this paper not only because of the colors in the series, but, I appreciate the smaller prints.
This card features the deisgner paper that you can get FREE! It’s one of the Sale a Bration offerings. The fun part is that this paper is black and white and you get to color some or all of the images. A perfect companion for our new watercolor pencils. So, above, I choose to color in just the larger flowers with the watercolor pencils. I added a little dimension with the use of the Lovely Lace embossing folder on the smoky slate strip in addition to popping up the circle with the very and the cute little bees.
Last card in my Dragonfly Dreams set, (so far). A delightful element to go along with the Dragonfly Dreams set is the Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits Dies! These little dragonflies are all on one die. I cut out the dragonfly image, then cut one out in black. I adhered the black dragonflies in the opening and backed it with some sugarplum cardstock. The little dots are included in the stamp set and in this case remind me of a spray of water. This set also includes four very nice verses.
Hope you enjoyed viewing the cards using the Dragonfly Dreams and Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits Dies! I’m predicting that this bundle could be in your workshop after January 4th!
I do have a question for you, I heard from one of my readers that all my pictures were coming in sideways! Let me know if yours is showing up the same way. You know how informed I am NOT in all things computer, but, when I post I edit so that the pictures are upright. I went into my site a number of different ways and the pictures were posted correctly. So, please let me know if yours are sideways. (Maybe it’s just another way to look at things!!)
Happy New Year and Happy Stamping!
