Yes, it’s that time of the year when we say good bye to one set of In Colors. On April 18th we will get the list of items that will be retiring from our catalogs.
So, here is the plan: If you have or want to have any of the 2014-2016 In Colors, (I’m talking about cardstock, ribbon, ink pads and reinkers), you need to get that order to me as soon as possible!! What happens every year is that some stampers forget to get these items ordered and wait until the retiring list comes out. Waiting is not recommended! Very often, these limited items get sold out fast!!
Many stampers feel that they do not need the reinkers for their stamp pads. What I like to tell them, is that if you are using our new pads, I would suggest getting the reinkers. I find that the new pads put so much more ink on the cardstock, so I end up reinking them more often. (One of the benefits that you can take advantage of when so much ink is stamped on the cardstock: use your clear embossing powder right away! That way you have every Stampin’ Up! color for embossing! Stamp, pour clear embossing powder over the image and heat with our heat tool. TaDa!! Beautiful images in color!!)
One more thing I would like to point out: There will only be one more additional entry of Weekly Deals! They will be replacing this with another “Special Offering”. What those offerings will look like, I don’t know, however, I trust Stampin’ Up! will offer something to put a smile on our faces and stamping products at special prices in our hands!!
After all that boring chat, lets look at some cards:
This is another one of my April Hostess cards. I purchased this set and have not played with it enough!! I did make an adorable birthday card for one of my grandsons. What I love about this set is that you can color in the boy with any colors for his hair and eyes. My grandson’s card had the little boy with dark hair and brown eyes, just like him! The stamp set is called Skating By and can be seen in the Annual catalog on page 44. I stamped the t-shirt on some dsp, cut it out and adhered it to the card front. The little ball is covered with our Itty Bitty Epoxy accents circle. Add a few candy dots in the right hand corner and you have a sweet card!
Tomorrow I will show you our third Hostess Club card!
