I have my second Valentines class this Friday and I must admit, (this is no surprise to anyone who knows me), I’m working on the cards today! I am anxiously waiting for my UPS man to bring me the new Sale a Bration sets that will be included in tomorrows class. That may mean that I will be burning the midnight oil.
Here is a card I have been running around in my mind for a while:
This card uses the Sale a Bration set The Sky is the Limit. I adore that set, maybe because my Dad used to have his own plane. He and my Mom used to fly around quite a bit for his job. My Mom always went along to keep him company, so this picture is appropriate with the heart following their plane.
I used a Project Life Framelit Die to cut out the center of the card. Then I cut a piece of island indigo cardstock 4 1/4 x 3 1/4 and cut out a frame to go around the opening. The SAB designer paper is popped down with dimensionals and the plane is popped up with dimensionals.
Hoping my stampers love it as much as I do tomorrow!
This past Sunday my grandson, Parker was baptised. We are so very proud of him and his growth in his spiritual life. I had to make a special card for him to celebrate this wonderful day.
I wish you could see this one in person! I used the kissing technique to give the cross a woodgrain finish. The base of the card is early espresso, first layer is gold glimmer paper, marina mist topped with our dazzling diamonds glimmer paper.
Better get back to designing!
