Headed out in the cold this morning to attend church. It was even too cold to stop for a bite of lunch afterwards! (That’s not something I turn down lightly!!)
I have my little electric fireplace going, an old movie on the TV, my naughty cat by my side and at least 10 stamp sets around me. Yes, I’m in my happy place! Working on more cards for my Kismet class.
I do adore all the new floral stamps, but, when I checked out my cards for class I decided that I needed a “male” card in the offering. So, I pulled out the Sale-A-Bration stamp set, The Sky is the Limit and began playing. This is the end results:
I was looking at photo’s of the sky which inspired this picture. I used the oldest stamp in our offerings, Lovely As a Tree with Memento ink. I thought it would be cool to add some stars among the snow flakes. The big dipper is from the Going Global stamp set from our new Occasions catalog. I embossed the verse and the plane on vellum with black embossing powder. At first I used silver, (which I thought would look cool), however it was not bold enough and sort of got washed out.
My next card is also a combination of Sale-A-ration stamps and a new stamp set that I fell in love with immediately, Timeless Textures, which is featured in our Occasions catalog!
The flowers are from the SAB set, What I Love. The flower is made in 3 steps which gives it depth. You can’t tell from the picture, but I also used our new Wink of Stella Glitter Brushes to accent the flowers.
Hoping my stampers will enjoy making these cards. I had a wonderful time designing them!
