Time is really a crazy thing! My Mom used to tell me that once you reach a certain age time seems to just speed up! Looking back my Mom was so correct! I can’t believe that we are ending another year. It takes me about 6 months just to remember to write the new year!
I decided to end the year with some cards using stamp sets that will be retiring from the Holiday catalog. Thinking out of the box, I tried to design cards that you could send any time during our long winter season.
Here’s card #1:
I know that I used our beautiful “holly” paper from the Season of Cheer Designer Series Paper, but, the card features “winter” activities, so, in my world, this is a “winter” card. Send to anyone who needs a little boost during our cold spells.
Too bad you can’t see this card in person! This maybe one of my favorite of all the cards I made from the Holiday catalog! The stamp set Peaceful Wreath is beautiful! I love the Boughs & Berries Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, (WOW that’s a lot of words for one folder!). I added a little sponging around the edges with soft suede to highlight the delicate designs on the folder. I used dimensionals to pop up the embossed layer and the wreath. The background is crumb cake stamped with the hardwood stamp inked with soft suede.
I’m working on the new computer with all the new programs and hoping that it’s looking ok on your end! I miss my old photo editing program and may need to purchase one. Does anyone have one that they would recommend for a computer challenged person?
