Teaching an old dog new tricks…..can it be done?

I’m almost afraid to try and write today!!  My learning curve with computers is mostly on a downward trend!  I long for the old days when you had a book to consult and study when something was not working correctly.  Now, you have to know which button to push.  Apparently, I’ve been pushing all the wrong buttons lately!!

I’m sitting at my desk with all of my available “internet” items, 2 laptop computers, my iPhone and my ipad.   With this array of items I should be able to complete the task of getting this blog written today!

Last night I held my Giftables class and I would like to thank my stampers who attended.  This was a very quickly put together class, but, I think everyone had a good time.  At least I know I did!  For my next magic trick, I’ll try and pull up the items that we made:

IMG_0942 (800x600)We made a 5×7 Christmas collage, a tagged jar of candy from Santa, Peppermint Sea Salt Scrub and a beautiful stamped dish towel with a blinged up tag.

Here’s another picture that I wanted to share with you from one of my latest classes:IMG_0932This is one of my favorite cards of this season.  (Sorry, with the new computer system comes a new photo program which I don’t know how to use!)  I fell in LOVE with the Winter Wonderland Specialty Designer Series Paper!  For anyone who did not get a chance to see it and use it, take a moment and consider purchasing some.  Every sheet is beautiful and so different from any of the other designer papers.  There are 12 sheets, 2 each of 5 double-sided designs.  One side of each design is printed with metallic ink.  It’s on page 23 of the Holiday catalog and sells for $13.00.

You can’t see the details on the card, but, for the snow under the trees and on the center evergreens I used crystal effects and then poured our dazzling diamonds glitter over it.  When dried the glitter stays in place and using the crystal effects gives it more texture than just using our 2 way glue.

Hope to be chatting with you soon!  I’ll work on the photo program!

Happy Stamping!
