Time to start creating Christmas cards!

This Saturday is my first Christmas card class.  Hooray!!  There are sooooo many stamp sets to choose from I think I may have purchased almost all of them.  (Choosing which to get and not get does not work for me!  I want ALL of them!)  So, I just decided to do more Christmas card classes and incorporate Christmas cards into my other classes.

Here is one card for Saturday that uses the Joyful Season stamp set which is on page 29 of the Holiday catalog:

September 17 2015 CardinalThe cardinal has 4 stamps to complete his look!  The branch has 3 if you count the stamp to fill in the berries.  So, lots of wonderful detail!!  I used my one of my old favorites for the card base, sahara sand.  I think it pairs up nicely with cherry cobbler, which pairs up nicely with chocolate chip.  I added a little gold foil doily for some added interest.

Next I have a card that we did at a previous class, but, looking back I didn’t share it with you and I wanted to.  So, here goes:

September 17 2015 indigo and boho chicI think that this makes a nice “man” card.  In the class this was done, I used boho chic designer paper on each card.  With this one I wrapped our black/white bakers twine around the end of the banner.  Doesn’t it mimic the designer paper?  No bow, just wrapping it around 4 times and tied in the back.  “Manly” but I like it too!!  (Does anyone remember the Irish Spring commercials?  That line should be said with an Irish accent!!)

This is another card from that same class:

September 17 2015 hello cardAgain, sahara sand with the boho chic designer paper.  I liked the size of the embossed butterflies in comparison to the print on the paper.   I have done a couple of these diagonal cards.  It does add interest and it’s just fun to do something different.

One last picture but, it’s not of a card.  My oldest granddaughter, Elliana was so very proud of her first homegrown carrot!  She planted a few seeds in one of her Mom’s flower pots and pulled it the day we were visiting:

September 17 2015 Elliana and carrotIt had a bit of a strange shape but tasted great.  She cut it up so that everyone could try it!  I must say it was good!

Happy Stamping!
