Playing with our Farmer’s Market designer paper today!

You know I LOVE my Kismet classes!  I pick 5 of my favorite cards for my stampers to make.  I must admit that I do ask them if there is anything in particular that they need or any sets in particular that they would like to use.  After that, I’m off and running to work around their input.

One of my stampers is honored to be invited to an Amish wedding this fall.  We discussed what kind of card it should be, not too flashy, not a lot of bling and in soft colors.

This is what I came up with:

August 17 2015 quilt card with farmers market dspWhat would be better on an Amish wedding card than a quilt.  The wedding is this fall, so, I thought it would be nice to use mossy meadow, delightful dijon, and very vanilla. I used our heavy weight white card stock for the base of the card.  I like the idea of using both white and very vanilla on this card.

I was a quilter a while back and loved the idea of making a faux quilt for the card front.  I added a little faux stitching around the “quilt” squares.  The “quilt” is on dimensionals for added effect.

While I was playing around with the Farmer’s Market DSP I also wanted to use some of the vegetable prints.  I was not sure if this was going to be one of those cards that looks better in my minds eye or in person.  Well, I’m please to say that I’m lovin’ this card:

Let me know what you think!

Happy Stamping!
