Hello! Finally got my act together with my photos!

YES!  I really don’t know what I’m doing with all the technology I have.  Never did find my battery charger for my camera.  It’s really no surprise that the store I bought it in doesn’t carry chargers either.  Now, I’m sure that if I had a brain and a few minutes, I could go online and order on directly from Cannon, but, of course, I didn’t do that.  I just kept putting it off and I have no good excuse.

With that stated, please excuse me!

In this month’s technique class we are using bleach.  This is a whole lot of fun if you have not tried this technique!

Here’s one of the cards we are making, (more to follow):

August 10 2015 bleaching technique watermelon and macroon w butterflyI love the combination of watermelon wonder and mint macron!  See those dots on the middle layer?  That’s the large stamp, Dots for Days “inked” up with bleach and stamped on mint macron.  The layer behind that is the larger floral stamp from Awesomely Artistic also “inked” up with bleach and stamped on watermelon wonder.

I put a few layers of paper towel on a plate and poured bleach onto it.  Then you use that as your ink pad.  On some of the other cards I put bleach into our Aqua Painters and painted the bleach into heat embossed area’s on the cards.  August 10 2015 you are remarkable bleachingWe heat embossed the images with black embossing powder and then painted in the bleach.  The flowers on this card started out as lost lagoon in color.  With bleaching you get this soft pink/purple color!

The background is mossy meadow bleached with the Brushstrokes stamp.

Try this technique on crumb cake and let me know what color it changes to.  Let me know and the first three stampers will receive one of the cards we made this week with our bleaching technique.

Happy Stamping!
