Good Morning!

Hope you all had a fabulous Easter!  We spent ours with family and friends and had a great day celebrating and giving thanks to our Lord and Savior.

This month I have my Hostess Clubs in the same week.  This is not a normal schedule for me.  Generally one club meets on the first Monday of each month and one club meets on the 3rd Friday of each month.  However, Sarah and I will be at the Scrapbooking Expo at State Fair Park on April 17th.

The good news is that both clubs fall into the FREE shipping offer from Stampin’ Up!  If you would like to take advantage of this super offer, just hit that big red button on the right side and shop away!  Shipping is usually $6.95 or 10% of your order, which ever is greater.  So, you can save your self a bit of $$ that can be spent on SU products instead of shipping!!

I would like to share a card that my Club members will be doing this month:

???????????????????????????????The Sheltering Tree has to be one of the favorite stamp sets in the Spring Catalog!  Here I paired it up with soft sky for the card base, a thin layer of garden green and melon mambo for a wider frame.  The tree blossoms are stamped with both blushing bride and cherry cobbler.  I decided to add two swings since the verse is talking about friendship.  The verse is “friendship is a sheltering tree.”  We inked up just the first portion of the verse for the front of the card and the rest of the verse was stamped inside the card:

???????????????????????????????The verse is long, so splitting it up worked well for this card.  Try out this option with some of your longer stamp verses.  I also added a 1/2″ strip of the designer paper from the front of the card to the bottom inside layer.

Hope you enjoyed today’s card!  If you would like to join my Hostess Club let me know.  My Friday night club will be starting a new session next month so this is a perfect time to step in!

Happy Stamping!
