Guy Greetings, Choose Happiness and Lovely Amazing You!
Three great stamp sets that I used to create cards for class this week. Sorry to those who follow me on Facebook, you already saw 2 of the three cards for today. But, I wanted to reach everyone following my Stamping Journey!
This is one of my favorite cards in quite some time! I wanted to use the Adventure Bound designer series paper stack for a “ladies” card. But, I wanted it to have an urban/graffiti look. (Does that even make sense or have I had too much coffee today?)
Here’s the card talk: I used a splash of early espresso with a stamp from Work of Art to create a background to highlight my graffiti. The verse is from the new photopolymer stamp set, Lovely Amazing You. (I loved this verse so much I used it on two different cards for Wednesday’s class.) The verse was stamped with versamark and embossed with calypso coral embossing powder. The flower from Crazy About You, was stamped in calypso coral and sponged with cajun craze. The leaves are also from Crazy About You and are stamped with garden green.
This card was probably the favorite one per my stampers. I used one of my favorite sets, Choose Happiness. (One reason I love it is just because of the great name!) I wanted to have an antiqued post card with a collage look. I had just enough of the beautiful sahara sand lace, (which is no longer available), from the Spring Catalog to staple a bit on each card. The flower, leaves, verse and bird are from Choose Happiness. I “dirtied” up the front with images from Gorgeous Grunge stamped with sahara sand. The designer paper behind the post card is from Something Borrowed on page 42 of the Spring Catalog. We used one of my favorite tools, an aqua painter to color in the flower and leaves.
Those are two cards from this weeks class. Now here is a card to a class you could come to:
This will be made in my rescheduled Man/Child class from last month. The new date for this class is Monday, March 23rd, 9-12 or 3-8 if you would like to join us, let me know! The stamp set used is called Guy Greetings. I highlighted this stamp set with my Hostess Club members this month. I will show you those cards tomorrow.
