My dear, sweet Mom passed away on Thursday, February 19th. She was 91 and lived a very full active life with my Dad for I believe it would be 69 years in April. She taught me so much through out my life and I will miss her every day.
My folks live in Naples Florida, so we were not able to see them all that much, but there were always frequent phone calls. In December I went down to see them after my Mom had a severe fall. She was hospitalized and then transferred to an acute care facility on December 22 before I had to come home.
When I went to Orlando for the Leadership conference, my dear friends Sarah and Randee insisted on renting a car and driving to Naples so that I could visit with my Mom. We ended up driving a total of 9 hours that day and visiting with my Mom a little over 2 hours. I will forever be grateful to them for that trip as it was the last time I got to kiss my Mom.
So, Peter and I will be leaving in about an hour. (No, I have not started packing!) I had to cut and get ready for my Hostess Club. Thanks again to Amy P., the show will go on!!
I will be back on Thursday, February 26th. So, here’s a few cards for you to view in my absence.
Please note that the trifold card in the middle was made by Ruth H., Karen and their friend Linda. We had made that style of card at class and they went home and came up with this absolutely beautiful version! I just had to share it with you.
Closing to pack. Please enjoy your family while you can!
