I know this will shock you, but, I did not have my Kismet cards picked out in time to share with you prior to the class!!
I keep saying that some day I will be organized and on time with things. Not sure when that will ever be so I’ll just keep put-zing along!
Class is almost over, now let me show you the beautiful cards we did:
The ladies loved this card! The base is crisp cantaloupe with black and calypso coral accents. The designer paper is from the Stacked with Love stack on page 5 of the Spring catalog. The flower is from the Spring catalog also, the Petal Potpourri stamp set, which has a companion punch. Check out the ribbon in the background! That is the white Jute ribbon pictured in the “bridal” section of the Spring catalog. I love that you can see right through it!
This is my “man” card. I used the Balloon Bash stamp set. The base is lost lagoon paired up with baked brown sugar. The banner was stamped in baked brown sugar and popped up with dimensionals. The button, which matches perfectly is from the Sweet Dreams designer buttons on page 39 of the Spring catalog. I used two buttons from that collection for today’s cards. The one on this card and the one in the center of the flower in the first card.
This is my first endeavor with the Bokah technique. Jamee, one of my side sister’s in my SU family, did a demonstration at our last downline meeting. I thought it was a really cool effect! This was so much fun I will be designing more to be made in my February techniques class! So, sign up early! We will be doing fun folds and the Bokah technique and you will receive your very own window sheet to take home and play with. (You need a window sheet with different sizes of holes cut into it for the Bokah technique.)
Can’t show you the other two cards right now because they are being used by my stampers! I will show you them tomorrow, one is a punch art card and the other uses the “From the Herd” stamp set.
P.S. Don’t forget to check out this weeks deals! They have the in color and the skin tone markers on sale along with some other items. I’m a big fan of the skin tone collection!!
