Want an easy elegant card for Christmas? I’ve got just the set for you!
I am having a ball playing with the Ornamental Pine stamp set. Just six stamps and yet there is so much you can do with them. My product class this month, next Wednesday, October 29th is featuring this stamp set. I though I would show you a few of the cards that the attending stampers will be making. (It’s not too late to get signed up, I can fast track your set here and get you hooked up for class!!)
I had a request to do a “Victorian” card. To me that means lace with pinks and purples. Well, I started out with very vanilla paper and the accent colors I choose to work with are blushing bride and blackberry bliss. The card base is mossy meadow. Take a look and then I’ll chat more:
I stamped the branch with mossy meadow and early espresso first. Then I sponged around the edges with blushing bride followed up with blackberry bliss, heavier around the edges and softening into the center. The ornament was stamped on scrap paper with blackberry bliss and the top of the ornament was inked up with our silver marker. I did stamp the ornament directly on the card front and then covered it with the fussy cut ornament from the scrap paper. A rhinestone jewel in the center and a silver bow finished it off. After I was done, I took our white gel pen and added a little bit of snow here and there on the greenery.
Here’s another one:A completely different look. This time I used garden green and real red for a more traditional card. The designer paper used here is from the Trim a Tree paper stack. The nice bright red ornament is covered with crystal effects to give it a glassy look. Again, I touched up the greenery with a little gel pen.
Well that’s all the teaser for today folks!! Let me know if you would like to get signed up ASAP so that I can get your set ordered. The price of the class is $30 and that includes 5 cards (yes, I know that the pull down schedule says 4 cards, but, I just could not stop at four!) and your very own Ornamental Pine stamp set!!
Let me know what you think of the cards, Please!!
