We will forever begin this day with our thoughts and prayers for those who lost their lives and family members. Tears have been shed by many every September 11th for the past 13 years.
Peter and I were having a special breakfast including mimosa’s 13 years ago. We were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary. Not a clue with what was happening to our nation until I received a call from my sister, Marlene. We turned on the TV just as the second plane hit the second tower. That entire day will always be remembered as strange and surreal.
I do know that many who have birthdays today stopped celebrating it on this day. I pray for those who were lost, but, don’t let the terrorists take the joy out of celebrating our lives and carrying on. Be defiant and let them know that they may attack us and kill senselessly, but they will not break America! We are strong and we need to come together and show the world the strength of our people!
God bless America and her people!
I’ll get off my soap box and wipe away my tears to share some cards with you today.
Here are this month’s Hostess Club cards:
This card is made with the Holiday Home photopolymer stamp set. (One of my favorites from the Holiday catalog.) One of the cool things about stamping with photopolymer is that you can bend and shape them as you wish. See how the Santa and the verse follow the arc of the circle. That’s all thanks to our sweet photopolymer stamps!
This card also uses on of our new photopolymer stamp sets called White Christmas. I stamped the images on vellum with black Momento ink then used markers to color on the back of the images. A white circle of cardstock frames in the picture.
If you are interested in joining one of my Hostess clubs or would like to form a new Hostess club with your friends, contact me directly. I would love to get another club started so that I can help you get started stamping with all the wonderful new products in our Holiday catalog!
