Although you may not be one of my “darlings”. I’m talking about the stamp Hello Darling on page 124 of the annual catalog!
I featured this stamp on one of the re-designs. The original was a Christmas card, now it’s an adorable birthday card.I turned around the designer paper and found this lovely scallop print. I pulled out the Hello Darling stamp set and it includes a stamp that looks like sequence. Which then lead me to the verse Today call for something pink with sprinkles on top! Put that all together, I know my brain works in weird ways!
Anyway, I used my markers to color in the floral image, cherry cobbler, rose red and old olive. This is a great way to get multiple colors in your images. One suggestion is to always start applying the ink with the lightest color. That way you won’t “dirty” up your markers by blending colors on the marker tips.
Once I stamped I used crystal effects on the centers of the flowers to give the card some dimension and interest without bulking it up. (Remember, these cards must be mailable with one stamp).
One more item to cover, last Tuesday I held my last class for the Holiday Home stamp set. There was one more prize to win and Ruth E. did it again! She won the Moonlight designer series pack. She did offer to share it with her friend Judy! (Judy is in the pacific point top and Ruth is in the elegant eggplant sweater). I see Stampin’ Up! colors where ever I look!
