Good Morning!!

Trying to get back on track…..doesn’t take too much to get me off track!

We left town last Thursday, September 11th to celebrate our 38th wedding anniversary.  Destination:  Green Bay.  Reason:  Yes to celebrate our anniversary but to also celebrate a wedding.   We were so happy to celebrate with some of our friends, (whom we have not seen in some time), as their daughter got married on Friday, September 12th.  The wedding was outside and if you were not in the area you may not know, but, it was raining!  We sat outside in the rain, some of us with umbrella’s some with out.  But, I must say it did not detract from the beautiful bride and her very handsome groom.  They were in a gazebo, so they were under cover.  A perfect Wisconsin wedding, from the area where the reception was held you could see an old church steeple and Lambo Field!  (If you are not aware, that’s where the Packers play!)

We left Green Bay on Saturday morning and headed directly to our oldest son’s home.  We spent a wonderful day with Carl, Christine and our grandchildren.  Then for our anniversary Carl and Christine took us to dinner at the Fox and Hound’s restaurant.  They had live music in the lower level as we waited for our table.  That was a surprise and we thoroughly enjoyed listening to the “oldies”.

Carl had received Packer tickets for Sunday’s game, so we spent the night there to watch the children while they were at the game.

All in all it was a wonderful way to celebrate our 38th!  We were blessed to have Tami and Travis here at our home taking care of our puppies and the naughty cat.  They not only stayed, they cleaned and cut the grass and did all those things that we just kept putting off.  Hanging pictures, giving the puppies a bath etc…I keep finding things that were taken care of as I move about the house.

So, that’s my story and I’m sticking to it.  That’s why I have not been chatting with you!  I got home late on Sunday and had to get up at 3:00am to get ready for class on Monday and have been on the fast track since.

Let’s get down to business:  Cards!  I have been working on, (yes, I know that this is very late) cards for my Saturday class.  I have been requested to not do just “girly” cards on Saturdays, so I will do as I’m requested!  Here are some of the cards we will be doing this Saturday, September 20th.  If you are interested in joining us to make these cards, let me know as soon as possible!

???????????????????????????????One request was to make an anniversary card.  Having my anniversary in the fall, I LOVE the fall colors, so, here’s my anniversary card.  I used the new Kraft cardstock a seen on page 192 of our annual catalog.  I love the natural feel to this card.  Earthy colors and products.  The small checkered pattern is our washi tape.  Finished it off with a couple of strands of linen thread.  The ink colors I used were cajun craze and always artichoke.

Card 2:???????????????????????????????This card uses the Wondrous Wreath photopolymer stamp set.  This set makes a perfect Christmas card, but, as you can see, it’s very versatile and makes a perfect fall wreath!  This is a double gate fold card that uses the Color Me Autumn designer series paper.

On both of these cards I used the Party Pennants Bigz L die.  You can see that die on page 232 of the annual catalog.

The next card was one I made for a product board featuring the Flower Patch photopolymer stamp set which has matching framelits.  I was requested to add this card to my class and so I did!???????????????????????????????This card uses our Flowerpot designer paper.  I added some rhinestones for some additional bling!

On to the last card I’m going to share with you.  (To see the 5th card you’ll have to come to class).  Another request was to do some punch art.  This is a very simple version of punch art, but, it fits the season:???????????????????????????????Our little owl turns into a turkey with help from the Four Feathers stamp set, which also has it’s own framelits.  Looking at him now, he looks like he’s scared to death.  I guess that’s understandable if you’re a turkey around Thanksgiving!

Well, hope you enjoyed the cards and join me at class this Saturday!

Happy Stamping!
