Working with the stamp set The Open Sea today!

Check it out in our annual catalog on page 131!

This stamp set is being used on the card I will be doing for Camp Stamp in Oga this week end.  So,  I needed to design some new cards for my display board.  I have been about as happy as I can be!  Sitting in my messy corner of my work room with all kinds of dsp and punches surrounding me!  I did have to put away the markers because they kept rolling off my desk!

Here are a couple of the cards that I will have on my display board:

???????????????????????????????This was the first one I started out with.  Just getting the juices flowing sometimes takes a while, but, I’m on a roll now!

This card uses crumb cake as a base paired up with real red and night of navy.  I love this combination of colors.  (So much so that I did a number of cards with them.)  After about 3 I made myself put these colors away and pull out some different ones!

???????????????????????????????

The card on the left uses some designer paper from the Flashback collection.  I really like the stripe paired up with the chevron print.  The little circles on the chevron print remind me of air bubbles.

I did add a little smudging around the ship with pool party.  I also stamped lightly with crushed curry for the background behind the ship.

???????????????????????????????This is my “beat up” card.  I used our distress tool to rough up the edges after I stamped the world map on a piece of our Kraft paper.  I talked about this paper a couple of days ago.  It comes in 12 x 12 sheets and I really like the coloring and the heaviness of the paper.

I added a little piece of washi tape for a pop of red color.  The base of this card is pacific point.  I think it looks a lot lighter in the picture, sorry about that!

Well, I had better close.  I have lots more work to be done for camp!

Happy Stamping!
