For the whisper white base I cut the cardstock 4 1/4 x 11 and scored at 5 1/2 and at 9 1/2. I folded it in half and then folded the 1 1/2″ towards the front of the card. The ribbon tied around keeps that flap in it’s place. I used the Label Bracket punch to take a bite out of the flap and create a little spot to center my verse in. The verse is from the stamp set Tag Talk on page 66. (I have to tell you that I have been using that word index at the back of the catalog to quickly pull up the names of the stamp sets I have been using. I LOVE that there is a picture of each of the word sets at my finger tips!)
Back to the card, I have a layer of daffodil delight in there, and also punched out the little flowers from the back layer. Since it is covered with whisper white cardstock you can’t even see where I punched them out. Save your self a little money and use the hidden portions of your cardstock and/or your designer paper this way! The flower is from the new Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack on page 222. (Wasn’t there an old TV show called Room 222 or something like that?) I also added a little throw away scrap of the daffodil delight cs along the bottom edge of the flap. It just seemed like it needed a little attention!
The verse is stamped twice. Once in pumpkin pie and once in daffodil delight. The bottom layer is punched out and the “Birthday” portion of the daffodil delight was hand cut and attached to the card with dimensionals. Add a few pearls and tada! you are done. What do you think?
