Another Open Sea card designed while cleaning my desk!

The Open Sea stamp set and the Hardwood stamp pair up perfectly!

???????????????????????????????A while back when my upline, Sarah S. was here we were working on some cards for  Camp.  This was a discarded card base already prepped with the honeycomb hardwood layer.  I had left over pieces from the card I designed for this months Camp.  I put them together and TaDa!  a new card was born.

I guess I misspoke when I stated “cleaning my desk”.  I was picking up my desk, never did get it completely “cleaned”! (Which my stampers that were in class yesterday could attest to!)  Just like my bedroom up stairs, my desk is the last place to get “cleaned” up down here!

Here is the inside of the card.  I still had a punched out compass from the Camp card and I just could not throw away a good stamped element!???????????????????????????????I just added some island indigo to this card to give it a little boost.  The compass was rolled in the island indigo pad to just give the very edge a note of color and then adhered with a dimensional.

Now for a card that we will be doing this Saturday.  Yes, I have Saturday classes!  About once a month I hold a class on Saturday for those Stampers that just can not make the weekday classes.  I usually plan to make real “girly” cards for the Saturday class.  So, here’s my first offering:

???????????????????????????????I’ve seen a number of these “word bubble” cards and thought they were really cute.  I paired mine up with the large polka dot embossing folder.  The card base is tempting turquoise with the accent color  of melon mambo.  The backing behind the word bubble vellum is basic grey.  I also used one of our newest glimmer papers, Dazzling Diamonds which is just beautiful!  You just need a little bit to give a sweet  sparkle to your card.  That’s what the stars are punched out of also.

Well, better close.  I have to get ready for today’s class.

Happy Stamping!
