The weekend of July 12th and 13th I was at the Expo in West Bend. I was joined by two of my downline, Lynn R. and Judy K. Thank goodness they were there to help me! It was their first time for the Expo rodeo and they both did a fabulous job. I could not have pulled it off without them. Thanks again ladies!
Then July 16th through the 20th I was at the Stampin’ Up! Convention in Salt Lake City. (I just LOVE that city!) That was a complete whirl wind of a time! Lots of things floating around in my brain. I’m still getting things sorted out around here with all the new product we were able to purchase from the Holiday catalog.
Next on the July hit parade was my oldest grandson turning 13 years old. Carl and Christine had us for dinner and we celebrated this milestone together. Carter is a very special young man and we are so proud of him!My final trip for this month was to Eagle River for a family wedding. We left on July 24th and took our three oldest Grandchildren with us. We rented a mini cabin at Hi Pines Campground right in Eagle River. What a great place for children. I would recommend it to anyone going to that neck of the woods! They had all kinds of large water activities and a huge jumping pillow that is anchored into the ground. Even I got on the jumping pillow, yes, I fell down a lot, but had a lot of fun. I thought I was going to pass out just from laughing!
Our niece, Eli got married on July 26th. The weather cleared just for them as the reception was in their back yard. They rented a 40 x 80 tent that was just fabulous. Eli and Josh stamped on hard wood slabs that her Dad had cut out and made everyone attending a cool coaster. They made 276 of these babies!
See, we are finally getting to the stamping portion of this post! Hooray, right?! Well, tomorrow we have a downline meeting. This is one of the reasons you want to join our Stampin’ Up! family! We have some great meetings. I am in charge of bringing two make and takes for our group. So, I picked one of my swaps and “dressed” it up a bit. Here’s one of the cards we will be stamping:
I am completely digging our note cards that come with matching envelopes. They are a little bit smaller that a regular card. This one is in crumb cake which is a new item in our annual catalog. They save me time on cutting and scoring and can still be mailed out. We are featuring cards using our designer paper since that is on sale this month. Purchase any 3 of our $10.95 designer paper and receive one for FREE! That’s a nice savings. I have taken advantage of this special and will be using more DSP on my card offerings.
The next card I want to share with you is one that we will be making at Camp Stamp in Oga on August 9th. This is a movement card using The Open Sea stamp set along with the World Map stamp. The compass moves around the ship! Pretty neat, don’t you think?
I am going to close out this blog and open another one that has all our camp information on it.
