Note to self: Remember to make cards ahead of time and advertise!!
So, lots going on here as I’m sure it is in everyone’s lives. Started out last week getting ready for the huge rummage sale. Monday and Tuesday we sorted and marked thousands of items and still had more to be done.
Wednesday I had my product class highlighting the Traveler stamp set. That was fun! Everyone received their very own set of stamps and they made 5 cards using their sets.
Thursday started off fast and furious! Up at 3:00am just couldn’t sleep. So, I did get caught up on my schedules and posted them for you all to see on my drop down menus. I even printed up some schedules to hand out at the rummage! Hoping to get some new stampers in this area.
The sale started at 9:00 and we went strong the entire day! We had set a sales goal for the day and surpassed it by 2:00! Hoping that Madeline’s family will be happy with the money they will be receiving.
Friday was the same pace. Lots of stampers coming back to get more of what they had purchased on Thursday! I was up early again getting ready and putting things back out side. The last shopper came in around 7:00pm! I visited with my parents, (who live in Florida and came in the midst of all this craziness), and then stayed up all night creating cards for my Sassy Saturday class.
This is where the card pictures come in. I feel bad that I didn’t design them earlier, but, I just didn’t get around to it due to all the hectic scheduling and the visiting! But in the end I LOVED the ones I had ready for my stampers:
Lots of new items using in making this card. The embossing folder Lovely Lace gives a great background. The stamp sets Chalk Lines (which will be featured in my product class in July), and Cupcake Party, (which goes with our cupcake punch). We used the blushing bride embossing powder on the cupcake topper and the beautiful new cotton ribbon in Melon Mambo. Don’t you just LOVE Melon Mambo?
Card number two:This is that sweet little hostess set Nuts about you. My thought was that I wanted the tree in a field of flowers, but, how to do that? So, I decided to stamp the images on vellum with a floral dsp behind it. What do you think? Did I achieve the goal?
I think I was awake for over 40 some hours before I napped on and off Saturday night. I knew that I was really sleepy when washing my hair with some new shampoo that smelled really good. That’s when I knew something was off. I had not purchased any new shampoo. So, I read the bottle: Va Va Vanilla Oatmeal shampoo for Dogs! Yes, I borrowed a little of our dog shampoo and decided it could have been worse, I could have eaten some of their food!
