I have not had such a lazy day in sometime! I started out fine this morning, but, then had to go to see my Doctor because my asthma has been acting up lately. The more people I talk to it seems quite a few people who have asthma or allergies have been bothered early this year also. Not sure why, but, I need to get things under control before we go on the cruise. So, more breathing treatments and a higher dose of Predisone and I should be up and in tip top shape soon!
How about a card today? Let me pull up my pics and see what I can share with you.
This card will be in my “Man and Kid” card class at the end of the month. I have had more requests for “man” cards lately. Which tells me I have been ignoring the masculine cards! Sorry, I will be better about doing at least one man card in each class.
This card uses one of my favorite designer series paper, Soho Subway. The paper has a darker tone to it. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the wood grain paper above in the blue/green tones. This card opens up by the designer paper. The base is island indigo with a layer of early espresso that has been run through the Big Shot with the wood grain folder. I used the naturals ivory for the banner with the verse on it.
I like to use the naturals card stock. It’s a little thicker and has a different feel to it. Our whisper white and very vanilla card stock are smooth and polished. Guess what I am saying that for the “man” cards or more natural looking cards I use the naturals ivory or white depending on what I am pairing it up with. (Does all that make sense or are the meds making me wordy and confusing?)
The verse is from the Everyday Occasions Cardmaking Kit, item #134797. The kit sells for $29.95 and has over $50 worth of products included. You can create 20 cards with it. After making the cards they have designed for you, you still have product left over to use on your designs. You also have a fabulous 7 piece stamp set and clear stamp block. This item is not in the catalog, so, you would have to hit the red button and go shopping at my webiste. Put in the item number listed and take a look at this great kit.
