Expo day one…..I am officially old!

Let me explain.  Yesterday as I dashed around the house because I was late, (of course), I decided to try out a pair of shoes the I purchased to wear on the cruise.  I had read all the customer reviews on them in which a number of them stated that  they wore them all day on vacation and how great they were.  Yes, they were comfortable, the reviews were correct.  What made me officially old is that they have a velcro clousure! I just laughed to myself because I thought, well, this is better than fighting with a buckle!  Yes, I am officially old!

The Expo yesterday was wonderful.  We met lots of new stampers and many of our current stamping family!  Thanks to all of you who came to visit.  It is so nice to look up and see familiar faces and get hugs!

The orders yesterday officially put me over the 30,000 points that I was shooting for this month!  HOORAY!  Now I am shooting for that additional 9,900 points that will get me to Hawaii!  I have until the end of June to make that goal.  See, every order counted, no matter what the size.  I can’t thank you all enough!!!

Enough chatter.   I should share a card with you:

April 23 2014 flower shop hexaqgon hive expo My display for the Expo was planned around the Happy Watercolor products.  This card uses that wonderful dsp in the background.  I used smoky slate for the card base and the Hexagon Hive layer.  The Hexagon Hive layer was stamped on using smoky slate ink with a stamp from gorgeous grunge.  The flowers were stamped with island indigo using the stamp set flower shop, which has a coordinating punch.  I did sponge the edges to give them a little more “pop”.  The back layer to make the color jump out is island indigo.

I was up at 4:00am this morning to cut some additional items for today.  We will be back at the Expo until 5:00pm.  Hoping to get some additional orders to keep pushing to that goal.  I did an Expo special where you purchase a bundle that I put together for $50.  You are actually getting $55 in product, in addition you receive a box that contains all the precut cardstock to make 4 each of 5 note card designs.  I will be posting that picture and offering that special to those of you who could not make it to the expo tomorrow.

Another important note:  Even though the Stampin’ UP!’s  FREE shipping special is over, I will be extending that special offer through the rest of this month.  I can enter your orders for you!  If you do want to go through the online ordering, I will send you a check back for your shipping costs!

Happy Stamping!
