Here’s Hostess Club card number 2:

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERALooking at the swap cards from leadership and the cards posted on our Stampin’ UP! website I love the ones that use this color blocking technique.

For this card I choose a card base of crumb cake, which is also the first layer with vanilla card stock on top.  The “block” of color behind the flower goes from darker to lighter.  The stamp itself is from the Occasions catalog, Happy Watercolor stamp set  on page 22.  That particular set has two of these “shaded blocks”.    I stamped it using three different shades from our neutrals color family.

The flower is from a stamp set in our annual catalog, Field Flowers.  It’s a two step stamping set that I tend to fall back on.  I like the idea of the flower being separate from the stem.  The flowers are stamped in tangerine tango and cajun craze. So, let me know what you think!

Happy Stamping!
