Makes me think of my quilting days….
For this month’s Techniques class I have four cards with a quilting theme. Then for good measure I have one punch art card. So, if you missed these you’ll be sorry!
Let’s take a look:We used the lattice bigz die and cut 3 different 4×4 pieces of designer paper from Venetian Romance pack and one 4×4 piece of early espresso. Using our 2 way glue we attached the early espresso frame and then glued all the different papers into the open portions of the lattice. After all the spots were filled we put that portion through our square lattice embossing folder.
By cutting 3 different papers it allowed us to have pieces for another card that we did in class. However, there was plenty left over for my stampers to take home and keep creating! I will share the other card we made with the lattice die tomorrow.
Here is my glitzy glamor quilt card. Sure to put a sparkle into the eye of your loved ones!
This card has an interesting fold. The top portion with the quilt opens up to show a message behind it. Then the portion with the designer paper opens up to the inside of the card. We used our silver paper run through the fancy stripes embossing folder to follow through with the stripes on the designer paper on the quilt.
Well, let me know that you think! Tomorrow I will show you the punch art card and the other quilt card using the lattice bigz die.
