At least that’s the look I was going for. I got up one Sunday morning and was dreaming about this card. I think the night before I read an article about a card reaching it’s intended destination about 45 years later. Like a voice from the past. I wondered how the person receiving that letter felt. My thought was that it would take her back to that time in her life when the writer of that letter was the most important person in her life. I’m sure that I am just an old romantic at heart, the letter could very well have been a bill!! (That would be my luck!)
Back to the card, I describe it as my “dirty” Christmas card!
I used our Expressions Thinlits Dies from the Holiday catalog, page 36. It maybe hard for you to see it, but, I did add bling to this sad little card, rhinestones at the beginning and the end of the Merry. I used a combination of soft suede, baked brown sugar and very vanilla. The “Merry” is done in cherry cobbler.
If you have purchased these thinlits I have a useful tip for you. If you place a piece of wax paper between the thinlit and the cardstock you will have no problem getting that thin wonderful expression out! Give it a try and let me know what you think.
Here’s the inside, equally as dirty!
