We went on a bus trip to Virginia. Learned a lot, ate a lot, walked a lot and had a GREAT time. I did not stamp the entire week, (felt sort of strange!). Although, thanks to my stamper friends who were also on the trip, I did see some cute cards on their ipads!
We learned that we did not want to get into trouble in Williamsburg:
We toured Colonial Williamsburg, Monticello, Yorktown, USS Wisconsin, Virginia Beach, Mount Vernon and lots of gift shops in between!
We got home last Saturday about 8:00 pm and my feet were so swollen from the ride that I literally slept with my feet up on the back of the couch all night! Not a pretty site let me assure you!
So, the pressure was on Sunday, I needed to design 3 additional cards for Monday’s Technique’s class. (Because, why would I do this ahead of time?) I started out right after church about 1:00 and finished up with the cards I liked about 8:45 pm. That’s called procrastination my friends. I could not decide which cards to do! I designed and redesigned until I came up with 3 that I was totally happy with.
Techniques class this month was focusing on 2 cards with punch art and 3 cards using our embossing folders in different ways.
Here is card number one showing reverse embossing:
See how only the center is embossed and looks puffed up? That’s one of the special techniques we worked on. You may want to start signing up for my Techniques classes! They are probably my most popular classes. The sessions often run into each other due to the more labor intensive cards we do, but, in the end it’s worth it! (Right Stampers?)
That’s all for today! Happy Stamping!
