As mentioned before in blogging, I have some stampers that prefer not to do Halloween cards. Which just gives me a chance to create a replacement card for them. Today’s class is designed around Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas. So, I opted out of the Halloween card for a few and added a fall card that could be used for Thanksgiving or just as a thank you card. Here it is:
The envelopes are made with our new envelope maker and are also lined with designer series paper to match each card.
We had such an eventful weekend! I thought I would share some of what has been going on in my family. First, this past Sunday, our oldest grandson, Carter was baptized. We were so very proud of him. He stood in front of his church and recited one of his favorite Bible verses and then talked about his faith and his walk with the Lord. (Yes, those of you who know me, I was crying!) It was really special to share that important day with him.
Afterwards we went to Carl and Christine’s home with Travis and Tami and celebrated Travis’s birthday. I can hardly believe that my youngest son is 33! I keep telling the children that they are catching up to us, we could not possibly be getting that much older. Age doesn’t really bother me, it just sounds odd to say that my youngest could be 33 already. Time really does fly by much faster than we thought when we were younger!
Yesterday was Travis’s actual birthday, so we thought we should take he and Tami out for dinner. We never celebrate a birthday just once around here! Just another excuse to have some of the Hot Fudge Pudding Cake that Christine made on Sunday! Yum!
Did you just skim over all that chatter and wonder….so what, where’s another card? Well, I just thought I would mention what I am doing when I am not stamping and blogging. Some days I get so caught up in stamping that I am sure I put my family on the back burner. They are always first in my heart and I hope they know that!
Here’s another card for you. I have picked this card to be in my October Kismet class. Seems I have been pairing up chocolate chip with soft sky lately and here is one of the samples of that pair up:
