I am busy this morning getting ready for a private class for Miss Karen E. and 5 of her friends this evening. They have requested a private class to make birthday cards. So, I have been having fun coming up with some new designs for them.
Here is the first one using our newest circle flip card framelit:Here is the front of the card. To make these cards with the framelit I have been using a 6 x 6 piece of cardstock. You have to carefully place the framelit on the cardstock, making sure that it’s squared up. The 6 x 6 just fits, so you are barely cutting the outside edges. But, that way you are not wasting cardstock. I can then get 4 cards out of a 12 x 12 piece of cardstock.
Here is the inside view: The base of the card is cherry cobbler and the accent colors are crushed curry and sky blue. The designer series paper is from the I am Me collection. I added another small arrow directing the receiver to turn over the card. (Because, where are you going to sign it?)
So here is what I did on the back side:I added another small layer for you to write your personal message to the receiver! These cards are really fun to make and easy which makes it even better! A lot of bang for your buck so to speak!
Here is another card for tonight:The designer series paper I used is from the Birthday Basics collection. I liked how the design on the candles matches up with our new diagonal striped embossing folder. The tag is from Chalk Talk which has framelits to cut it out! I dolled it up a bit with the little piece of doily that has been sponged with pink piourette. The tempting tourquoise gives it that little pop it needed. The tag is stamped in rose red.
So, that’s what I have for you today. What do you think? If you would like to schedule a private class with your friends just give me a call. I would be happy to design cards just for you and your needs!
