I have been back from convention one whole week and it seems like so long ago! This past week has been crazy busy as usual. But, I have been on a stamping frenzy getting ready for upcoming classes and am so excited to show you some fabulous cards today!
First I must share with you a picture of my oldest Grandson. Carter turned 12 on July 23rd. He got to pick where he wanted his birthday dinner……Buffalo Wild Wings! Go figure, all of those children love love love hot wings! So, here is a picture of Carter looking cool:He walked in wearing his “cool” sunglasses and a huge smile and that’s how the night went! You can see he did a good job on piling up a basket of bones. He and Grandpa shared a whole basket full of wings! Happy Birthday Carter!!
I thought I should show you some cards that we made at our shoebox swap at convention. A shoebox swap is where you design a card and then bring all the elements for other members in your group to make that card. Here is mine, (remember, my camera skills are not what they should be, the card looks prettier in real life!):I can’t wait until you can see the beautiful jewel in the center of this card. It’s in the Holiday catalog and is really breath taking! Also, what doesn’t show up very well is the little strip of our new silver paper and check out that silver 1/8″ ribbon!
Next card I want to share with you was designed by Miss Vickie M. She has been a demonstrator for a lot longer than me and has a wonderful clean look to all the cards that she designs. This is a card that made me want (and purchase since convention) the stamp set Walk in the Wild.
Isn’t this a GREAT “man” card? I really did not pay much attention to this set in the catalog. Now I have it and am using it in my Techniques class in August!
Here is a card that was designed by Miss Joyce, one of my downline demonstrators. She used a stamp set from the new Holiday catalog called Truly Grateful. I will show you the card Miss Joyce designed followed by a card that I changed up a bit. I used the same elements as Miss Joyce, however I turned the card on it’s side. It’s interesting what you can do with the same elements just by rearranging them on the card! Here’s Miss Joyce’s card:Now here is my card using the same elements:Are you wondering where we got the “thankful”? That’s just another wonderful item from the Holiday catalog!
Here’s a little advertising! I am doing a class called “The best of convention swaps”. I had to reschedule this class due to a doctors appointment for my husband. So, to make up for any inconvience that may have caused, I added an additional card. Of course on all but one card I made my little changes to make them my own. These cards are super cute and you are not going to want to miss this class. It’s on Wednesday, July 31st, running in two sessions, 9-12 or 3-8. Call or email to get on the list by Monday! It’s only $15 and we are making all six cards!
