This month I decided to play with our newest framelits in my techniques class. So, the theme is framelits and framing it! I was over joyed when Stampin’ UP! put squares and circle framelits in our catalog! Of course they were in my first order from the catalog along with the magnetic base to use them on. That magnetic base is a must have if you are using framelits. Just make sure that you have a newer set of acrylic plates to use with the magnetic base. You need to have direct contact between the acrylic plate and the magnetic base for it to work. You can use an older, (perhaps slightly bowed) acrylic plate on the top.
Well, are you ready? Here are two of the cards that we will be making this Monday and Tuesday, (July 8th and 9th, 9-12 or 3-8):
Here is another card that I designed for a wedding shower gift. They were giving a mountain climbing session for the couples honeymoon! (Isn’t that a cool idea, you help plan their honeymoon by purchasing different things for them to do!) Back to the card, she wanted to have mountains on the card and they are doing this in the fall. This is what I came up with:
What do you think? All I did was some masking and sponging which gave it a sort of artsy look. I heard that they loved the card! That just makes me smile. I love the challenge of making a card up for special occasions.
Well, time to get stamping. It’s also time for you to contact me and get signed up for class this coming Monday or Tuesday!
