Let’s talk about caseing…..

CASECopy And Share Everything

When I talk with stampers about joining our Stampin’ UP! family they often say “I couldn’t do that, I only copy.”  As stated in our bimonthly magazine, Stampin’ Success, there is no shame in copying.  It’s just an easy way to come up with a project quickly.  What I find is that even if you start out “copying” you end up with a different card.  Most often you end up changing up elements of the card that you liked enough to “case”.  I look at a card and think,  I really like that layout, and I go with it.

So, here is my “caseing” of my uplines card.  Sarah made this card when we were at camp and I just loved it.  So much that she gave me one!  (I didn’t even have to beg, she just gave me one!)  Here is a picture of Sarah’s card:

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAWOW, I guess I forgot to resize this photo.  This card is just beautiful.  I love the embossing, the color combinations and the fabulous layout.  It also uses a piece of one of our doilies.  (Which I just LOVE!)  Now, here is my version or my “cased” card:

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAI also embossed the background, however, I choose to emboss a  layer, not the body of the card.  I used marina mist and real red.  Mine turned into a Valentine.  I used our real red core’dination paper for the hearts.  The embossing folder we both used:  lacy brocade.  I also added a few rhinestones for a little bling!

I am not going to ask which card you like better.  I just want you to know that anyone can do what we do.  All you need to be a Stampin’ UP! demonstrator is a love for stamping and sharing what you love with everyone around you!  Joining during Sale-a-bration  you can purchase your customized kit for $99 and receive $156.50 worth of SU products.  Just saying……..give me a call and be my Miss February today!

Happy Stamping!
