Canvas – Round 3

Here’s my third attempt to WOW you about our canvas sheets!

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAI love this stamp set, Feeling Sentimental from the SAB handout.  I live in a small town that used to have an amusement park in it.  People from all around would come to Muskego Beach.  They had bands and dancing and one of the last wooden roller coasters, which originally had a portion of it built over the water.  The park was located on land by Little Muskego Lake.  Anyhow, we used to go there on the last day of school.  The grade school was right next to the park.  We would get tickets that we could use on food items, ie cotton candy, and rides.  Can you imagine today letting your grade school children walk to an amusement park on their own?  It really was an amazing place and an amazing time!

To get to the park you had to pass by the Pizza Burger.  They had the most delicious pizza burger sandwiches.  One of the popular restaurants in this area now, Matty’s, still has that sandwich on their menu citing “the original pizza burger”.  My parents would not let us go there alone because that’s where the “hoods” would hang out!  So, funny to think about that.  As an adult  my best friend, Linda, was one of those people hanging out there!  Oh man, does this sound like the food channel again?

I digress, let’s get back to the card.  Ok, so  you know that I LOVE this set. I have looked at so many different cards using it.  This card is a combination of a number of different cards.   I wanted to have a nostalgic feel to it.  The Ferris wheel is stamped on the canvas with StazOn.  I then “aged” it by sponging it with crumb cake, which is also the color of the base of the card.  Riding hood red was used on the center of the image and for the verse.  The seam binding ribbon is cherry cobbler, even though those two colors are very different, I think they work well together on this card.  Of course you see the first addition designer series paper layered on the basic black card stock, which was also “aged” by sponging it with crumb cake.

Are you getting the message – I’m really  trying to make the case for purchasing our canvas?!  I am having so much fun playing with it and I just want to share that experience with you!!  Hit the red ordering button on the right and get some delivered directly to you!

Happy Stamping!
