By The Tide and a peek at one of our new Single Stamps!

Check out the single stamps…’ll LOVE them!

I will be posting a few pictures using the single stamps later today.

I have the final picture of this months technique class.  We played with our embossing folders in 5, (yes, I said 5) different ways!  This is the “man” card of the class:

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERASort of looks like you are looking at one of those fish finders!  The gumball green fish are stamped on vellum.  The background is where the cool technique is!  To get this look you gently tap the island indigo stamp pad on the inside of the argyle folder.  You need to ink up the side where the sizzix logo is.  (If you ink up the other side you get a really cool argyle pattern)  But, for our look with this card we just wanted that little diamond pattern to help hide the fish.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA Here is the inside of the card.  The verse is from the Sale-a-bration set, Vintage Verses.

Here is a close up of the fish with diamond background:OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAThe vellum was attached to the background with glue dots in each corner.

I hope you enjoyed this post.  Let me know what you think!  I’m waiting to read your comments…..don’t be shy,  comment!  Better yet, comment after you have tried this fun technique.

One last note:  clean up after inking up the inside of your embossing folders is as easy as spritzing the inside of the folder with our stamp cleaner, placing a folded paper towel inside and running it through the Big Shot!  It gets into every nook and cranny of the folder and comes out clean as a whistle!

Happy Stamping!

Going to try to CASE this for my dads and grads class next month. Is the Fancy Fan TIEF embossed on vellum? Thanks, Cheryl!

Hello! No, the fancy fan embossing folder is used on the pool party coredination paper. The vellum is only stamped on! The vanilla behind the vellum is embossed with the argyle folder which had been inked inside with a brayer! Give me a call if you have any questions on how to do this cool technique!
