One day and counting……

Orlando here we come!

Tomorrow I leave with my upline Sarah S. for Stampin’ UP!’s leadership conference.  This year it’s in Orlando.   This is the first year I am eligible to attend the Manager’s Reception and I am sooooo excited to have reached that goal!  I watched two Harry Potter movies in preparation for it last night as I was cutting for today’s class.  Thanks to Miss Leann who brought over 4 of Harry’s movies.  I did not know there were so many!  The reception is being held at Universal Studio’s Harry Potter exhibit.  (I’m sure that I have mentioned this before, sorry for the repeat, I’m just so happy to be able to attend this year!)

One of the things that we do when we attend any SU event is to make “swap” cards.  We make the front only of cards and then swap with the other stampers.  Of course I have put some thought into doing this, however, I did not start until today!  Here is my first offering:

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAThis is one of the new sets, Henry Sayes.  However, with a little redo I am going to make Henry into Henrietta!  The DSP is from the SAB pack that you can receive FREE!  Contact me to find out how.  The base of the card is Summer Starfruit and the accent color is Island Indigo.  What do you think?  I need some feed back on this one.  I’m nervous about swapping at this level.  Not sure if I will be worthy?!  Henry’s tail did not fit on the 3 1/2″ circle so I made him a new one with linen thread.

Happy Stamping!

Love the card….very cute. Can’t wait to see the swaps you get. Hope you have a great time. Thanks for being a wonderful up line and great mentor to me since I joined your “family” last year !!!

Thank you Miss Amy! I am blessed to have a tremendous downline! I am so excited to share all the information I will be receiving this week. Only regret is that I don’t have my downline with me. Let’s all shoot for convention in Salt Lake this July.

The card is great, Cheryl! Lots of layers and elements yet clean looking. I giggled at the tail, but don’t you dare change it. It’s either 3D or a prosthetic appendage. Either way it’s adorable!

So glad I could make you giggle! Doesn’t that just sort of make your day sometimes? It’s a bit odd, but he just didn’t fit on the 3 1/2 circle!! Hated to see him tailless, so I thought, what the heck, let’s make one!
