Check out my pairing up of some new products…
I have been working on a sampler swap that I am doing with 7 other SU demonstrators. I chose to work with the Hearts a Flutter stamp set. The beauty of this set is that it has a matching set of framelits dies. You can see them both in our Spring Catalog on page 11. Here are the cards then I will chat about each of them:
For this card I used Basic Grey for the base of the card. I kept it simple using just Basic Grey and Real Red ink. The zig zag embossing folder kept the design going on Very Vanilla for a nice back ground. The DSP I used for the little red hearts is from the Summer Smooches DSP pack. I used a little bit of silver glimmer paper, cut with a framelit for a sparkly center flag.
Now, here’s the fun part: I punched out a 3/4″ circle from the red polka dot paper mentioned above. Then I put a little bit of crystal effects on one of the large Basics Designer Buttons, (on page 20 of the Spring Catalog). I placed the punched out DSP over the crystal effects and then covered the whole thing with more crystal effects. Please note that this takes a while to dry completely. I finished mine last night and let them dry overnight. I attached the decorated button to the silver glimmer paper with 4 glue dots.
You know that the card is not done until the inside if finished! Here is the inside of this card:
I used the Zig Zag Embossing folder just on the edge of the very vanilla for an interesting look inside the card. I’m really liking this card! What do you think of it?
