guess today it would be frozen and dusted with snow!
Brrrrrrrr! It’s cold out there today. I need to go out to get more supplies for my downline meeting this Sunday. Last night I finished up the project I have designed for them to make as a thank you for all they do. Hoping they will like it as much as I do! I worked until about 2:00am this morning. (I do my best work after midnight!) I finished up and had only about a 7″ square of workspace left on my desk. I should be grounded until I clean it up! Take a look:
Somewhere I read a quote about messy desks and it left me feeling positive, does anyone know that quote? Hopefully later today I can post a picture with the “after” clean up view.
Saturday we had our shoe box swap at our uplines workshop. Thanks again Miss Sarah for such a wonderful day! She even provides a lunch, we had chicken caesar salad with crusty french bread, delicious! A number of the stampers signed up and brought some snacks and some wonderful desserts. (Barb, who made Paula Deans banana pudding and Janice who brought lemon bars, thanks for the little extra on the scale this morning! But soooo worth it!)
A shoe box swap is when all the demonstrators coming design a card and then cut card stock for everyone else to make their card. The results are fabulous! Everyone used a different stamp set, even though we never discussed what sets we were using. We left with 14 “yummy”, (yes, Joan, I said yummy), cards.
Here is a card designed by my friend Miss Janice from Racine using the Secret Garden stamp set with matching framelits:
I love the combination of Rich Razzleberry with Summer Starfruit. Notice the button with the large pearl in the center? That is from the ribbon and button bundle you can receive FREE with a $50 order during Sale-a-bration. The nice thing about the buttons is that you can use either side of them. If you want the little bumpy edge as shown above you can, or turn it over and use the back side for a smoother less frilly look.
Time to shop for supplies. Hope you all have a great day. Remember to journey down to your stamping area for a little therapy to beat the winter blues!
