Time is running out……

the Holiday catalog will soon retire!

For my Friday Hostess Club tonight I decided to make cards using sets that may be retiring soon.  The Holiday catalog will finish up on January 2, 2013.  We never know what sets will show up in our next annual catalog.  This year SU did give us a heads up on what will be coming back for sure in the back of the new Spring catalog.

So, here are some adorable cards that we will be doing tonight.  Now, if you fall in love with cards, let me know right away!  I still have time to get an order in for the sets I have used.

This card uses the set Winter Memories.  The polka dot DSP is from the Festival of Prints paper stack.  The snow flake is from the new single stamps available for purchase until January 2nd.  I stamped the ice skates on very vanilla and then on a scrap of cherry cobbler.  I cut out the skates and adhered them over the very vanilla.  I used the white gel pen to color in the laces.

This last card doesn’t show up as well in the picture, but, it’s really is beautiful!  The stamp set Affection Collection was used.  The base  of the card is grey.  I used the silver glimmer paper with an overlay of vellum.  I stamped on the vellum with basic gray ink.  The larger oval is stamped with Baja Breeze.  The “Love” is stamped with Regal Rose and embossed with clear embossing powder.  Both ovals are brushed with Baja Breeze.OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Well, now I need to get busy putting my class packets together.  I hope you enjoyed the cards today.  I would love to hear from you and get these stamp sets ordered for you by January 2nd.  They really are great sets and I know that you would enjoy stamping with them!

Happy Stamping!
