I’m in Door County…..Egg Harbor, Wisconsin

Celebrating a beautiful fall day!

We won the bid at a silent auction for a Kingdom Workers fund raiser.  It was for a week in Door County.  We have not been on a “real” vacation in a very long time.  When we were both working we had very limited vacation time.  We always choose to use that time to spend with our Grandchildren.   The auction was in January and at that time we never dreamed that our Grandchildren would be living so close!  (I’m  feeling guilty to be gone for a whole week when I should be helping them get their home put back together!)  But, with all that said, we are going to spend the week here!  Our dear friends, Ken, Trudy and Sandy are coming to stay with us.

With this being new to us, we were not sure what to expect.  We are at the Landmark Resort, which is beautiful.  Our “condo” is very, very, very tiny!  We will be getting really close this week!  HaHa!  We all used to vacation together when our children were young.  So we are  pretty compatible thank goodness!

Before I left I stamped some new cards to share with you everyday while I am here.  I am hoping to also bring you some beautiful pictures from Door County!

Here is the first card:

I worked with the stamp sets Wonderfall, page 33 of the Holiday catalog and Everything Eleanor from the 2012-13 Catalog, page 112.  Added in for some glitz you can see a small strip of Champagne glimmer paper from the Holiday Catalog.  Glitz is not only for Christmas cards folks! I would suggest using our Mono glue to adhere the glimmer  paper on your cardstock.  The designer series paper is from the Orchard Harvest paper pack.  The inks I used are Island Indigo and Lucky Limeade.  The acorn was colored directly on the stamp with Early Espresso and Lucky Limeade markers.

The Wonderfall stamp set has a coordinating Bigz Die called Autumn Accents.  You cut your cardstock with the die, ink up your stamp and place the precut piece on top of the stamp.  This really goes quickly once you do a couple.  I have talked to some stampers that were not totally sold on this combination of products.  Believe me, this works beautifully and the Wonderfall stamp set is sooooo fabulous.  You are going to want to add this stamp set to your collection.  Click on the red online ordering button to check it out!  Anyone ordering the stamp sets or other product that I talk about while on vacation with receive a special gift from me!  Click away and start ordering!

Here’s a picture of my wonderful husband, Peter in our tiny, tiny, tiny “living room”:

After we are done cheering on  our beloved Packers we will be going into town for the Pumpkin Festival.  I will bring you some pictures back for tomorrows blog!

Happy Stamping!
