Still stamping and cutting card stock….
I thought before I start any new cards I had better cut all the DSP I need for the cards in my up coming classes. I used to hoard my DSP. I didn’t want to use it in classes because….what if I run out? Hello, just buy some more…dahhhhh! Now I enjoy using it and I use every last strip! I don’t worry as much about running out. If I am using a particular pack of DSP, guess what….all the papers coordinate with each other. So, if I run out of one I can most often replace it with a paper with similar colors and patterns. Another news flash for me….Stampin’ UP! makes the packages this way just for that reason. Boy they are some smart cookies!
That’s a lot of chatter I know, but, it’s late, (or early depending on how you look at it!). Any way, here is the card that I am doing for my Kismet class. Another Halloween card but this time I am using some of that cool grey satin stripped ribbon from the Holiday catalog.
The stamp set I used is from the 2012-2013 Catalog on bottom of page 28, Wicked Cool. Isn’t that ribbon cool? It really makes great bows. I used every little piece of DSP. The diagonal strip is the left over from cutting the polka dot DSP. I added a little more interest with black card stock cut with our Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border punch. I find myself using that punch a lot. I like that you can tuck it under a layer of card stock and just have the little scallops showing for just a little added design element. I used some of our pearls on the candle stick and bedazzled the spider webs with our rhinestones. Pretty fancy right?
Well it’s now 3:08am, guess I should call it a night. A couple of hours of sleep and then I will be back down here to start designing! Tomorrow I will show you a card I had been dreaming of and finally finished tonight.
Until later….Happy Stamping!
