This stamp set is on page 27 in our 2012-13 SU Catalog…..
I just loved this set when it first came out in one of our Mini Catalogs and then SU added it to our large catalog. I recently saw a card on Pinterest that I thought was beautiful. But, my thoughts went to this stamp set. We have talked about casing in some of the discussions at my classes. We all look at different cards and get inspiration from all different things. Even at some of the classes I took at convention, casing was mentioned. The thing that I like to point out to my stampers is that often we take inspiration from cards we have seen, but, then you want to make it yours.
So, here is my version of the card that I saw on Pinterest:
I made the front layer smaller and added another layer of Pool Party. I also added the ribbon. I used my Pool Party marker to color in the boarder of the large floral image. The butterfly is stamped on vellum and layered on top of Pool Party card stock. Of course, I added a few pearls for a subtle bling.
Look at this cute little “Thanks”! When I first saw this stamp set, Lovely Little Labels, (on page 105 of our 2012-13 Catalog), I thought how and when would you ever use something that small? But look how adorable!!! This stamp set matches up with the Little Labels Punch set on page 183 of the same catalog. Just wanted to show you a close up of little detail that I added to the card. This view also gives a closer look at how I simply used a marker to color the edge of the large floral image.
So, I know that I post my cards here and am hoping that you use them for your own inspiration. That just means that I am doing something right! Stamp away ladies and take inspiration where ever you find it, it’s ok!!
