Time is running out…..I must stamp something!!
Whew! We have had a fun filled time at camp again! We started out yesterday about 1:15. I packed up almost everything but the kitchen sink from my stamping workshop! My husband was very sweet, didn’t complain and carried everything up the stairs and even packed it in my car. (Do you think he was just looking for some quiet time?) After thinking about it, maybe he was just a little too happy to see me off for the week end! Although, he does enjoy talking with my stampers as they come and go he may like a little time on his own.
Enough of that chit chat….let’s get down to the business of stamping! We had a ball last night talking, laughing and sharing card ideas. We had a delicious dinner catered in from The Machine Shed. Some people got some stamping done, of course I did not. We stayed up and stamped until about midnight.
This morning the alarm went off at 6:15 and we were off and running. We met some of our Campers for breakfast and then came down to get to the business of the week end. The event that started this whole thing off. We had 45 stampers here to make 5 cards from 5 different Stampin’ UP! Demonstrators. This is really a unique opportunity for them to see different stamping styles and work with our SU family as a whole team! As different as we all are, we all have one goal in mind and that is to have our Campers share in this ultimate stamping experience!
We had cute little gift bags for our morning campers. They all received one of our new spritz bottles with a Marina Mist reinker. As you may have guessed, it also contained a few sweet treats. We used the spritzers, with rubbing alcohol and 10 drops of reinker on two of the cards in the morning class and 2 of the cards in the afternoon breakout sessions. The spritz we used on the afternoon cards also included a few drops of our shimmer paint. Beautiful effect!
In the afternoon we had an open crop and also offered 3 break out classes. They had the opportunity to make additional cards with some of our latest stamp sets. We had fun fold cards and scrap book pages.
Well, it’s 1:30am, it’s just Phyllis and myself up. I thought I really should prove to you that I can stamp away from home. So, here goes:
This is card number 1 for me! But, take a look at my stamping area! I guess I would have to say that I am a messy stamper. When the area gets smaller that the average card I do stop and clean up a bit. I did stamp another one:
This is one of the cards I will be doing with my Hostess Clubs this month. It’s using the new specialty paper. This is one of those really fun new items. When you can get something this fun under $10 you know that you need it in every color!
Here’s some more pictures from camp. Miss Sarah, our lead camp Counselor treated us to s’mores made with our SU heat tool! Warning – don’t do this at home, come to camp to do it!
I had better close. I really need to show more that two cards for a get away week end!
Join us at our next camp outing November 2-4th!
