Check this stamp set out on page 87 of our 2012-13 Catalog!
One of my fellow demonstrators had this set and made the most beautiful cards! I just had to have it also! The thing about this set is not only does it have a beautiful flower, but, the verses that go with it are just as beautiful! The font used makes it perfect for a formal flowery card. Not sure all that makes sense. Just go to page 87 and check it out.
I used this set in designing a card for Judy L.’s party last night. Here is a picture of the outside and the inside:
The base of the card is Soft Suede. We used the following inks: soft suede, pink pirouette, and crumb cake. We cut out a mask using a framelit from the Apothecary Accents Framelits. Then sponged on crumb cake to create a frame work for our flower and verse. The center of the flower is sponged with pink pirouette, just enough to make it
pop, but, still be subtle and soft.
The inside of the card, here on the right, was the second stamping of the flower, so that it would be a back ground and then the verse was stamped over it with soft suede. Again we softly sponged in the center with pink pirouette.
I think the ladies enjoyed making the cards and I had a great time visiting and getting to know them better. I am looking forward to stamping with them all at a future product class that we scheduled while they were here.
Here’s another thing that I wanted to share with you all this morning. It’s an ad that Stampin’ UP! will be running and I just love the saying:
Is this just the cutest ad? I it! What do you think?
