Thank you Lord for this beautiful day!
Wow, went out for a walk today with my nutty dog Tootsie. It is the definition of a beautiful day! Not too hot and nice breeze, the sun shinning on us! Just made us both smile!
Last night I worked with a new stamp set Summer Silhouettes. I made a get well card, which on a day like today, I can’t think about using. But, I LOVE this card. I’ll show it to you then I’ll talk about it:
The base of this card is cajun craze. I know that these seem like fall colors, but, they are so rich I just couldn’t resist using them. The top designer series paper is from the Comfort Cafe. The bottom paper, (can you see the shine from the embossing?) is from our new specialty designer series paper, Natural Composition. This paper has glossy, raised patterns printed on heavy-weight natural paper. Whew! This is going to be great to play with and make fantastic “man” cards!
The “Get Well” is from our Perfectly Penned stamp set and the flowers are from the Summer Silhouettes stamp set. I cut that out with a die from the Apothecary Accents Framelits set. Then layered it on top of cajun craze card stock that was punched out with our decorative label punch. I love how those two items really layer up nicely! The blue card stock is Baja Breeze that has been run through the Big Shot with our Polka Dots Embossing folder. The little bow is made with linen thread.
So, what do you think? Leave me a comment!
