Treat yourself like your own best company!
Great saying right? Not too many of us follow that advise, but, we should! This is the verse on one of the cards we made during our Embossing class. It’s from the stamp set Creative Elements on page 137 of our Idea Book & Catalog. (Which is also the set that Shelli Gardner used for her demonstration at Regionals last week). Well, let me show you the card and then I will do a little more chatting….
We did an emboss resist technique. First we inked up the floral images in Versa Mark then into Poppy Parade ink and stamped onto whisper white card stock. Poured clear embossing powder over and used the heat tool. The lighter flowers used the same technique except we used Blushing Bride ink. After embossing we sponged the entire piece with Baja Breeze ink. (Use a tissue to wipe over entire area to take off any excess ink left on top of the embossed areas). Here is a close up of the detail in these flowers:
I thought that the detail in the flowers went well with the striped paper from our Just Eat Cake DSP. Sponging over with Baja Breeze just made the flowers POP! Which is a word we like to use in stamping!!
Here is a list of ingredients used: Just Add Cake DSP; Raining Flowers stamp set; Creative Elements stamp set; Baja Breeze, Whisper White and Blushing Bride card stock; Rhinestones and of course dimensionals.
Would love to have you come to a class to learn this technique and more! Check out my class schedule at the top of this page. For a listing of next months classes click here and go to the bottom right corner. You can even RSVP right from my SU website!
